Lead Programmer - Unity, C#
Gap Year is a point and click, cinematic, story based game where the player navigates through the life of the main character by interacting with the environment and is given exposition via dialogue in a cut-scene. The cut-scenes were made by leveraging Unity's timeline feature, editing and customizing it when needed to suit the needs of the designer.
I was brought on by Mythical Voltage to create these tools from the ground up and continued assisting in development of the final game. The project is currently still in production so final assets aren't shown in examples.
Created point and click input system that tells the character controller to navigate to the clicked point. (works with controller as well)
Created interaction system where upon clicking on an interaction point brings the character to the point and begins a cut-scene.
Integrated the Articy package to handle dialogue.
Created editor tools for quickly adding, editing and animating UI panels that render from a camera.
Created editor tools for quickly adding the necessary game objects to be used in the cut-scenes.
